While creating this artwork, I found myself praying frequently to this saint and reflecting on his profound contributions and philosophical influence. The vision of this saint appeared to me through a hazy and mysterious medieval atmosphere that I struggled to capture. Eventually, I was able to bring it to life through the calligraphic lettering I integrated into the divine portrayal of this extraordinary figure. Thomas Aquinas was an advocate for natural theology and is known as the father of Thomism, a distinct school of thought. At the heart of his philosophy lies the doctrine of natural law, which he proposed is accessible to human reason and is rooted in the very essence of humanity. This doctrine lays the groundwork for understanding individual rights and moral responsibilities.
