My journey began with photography, transitioned to graphic design, embraced the elegance of calligraphy and type design, and culminated in the transcendence of contemporary Catholic fine arts.

I grew up in Postira, a small village on the beautiful island of Brač, in south Croatia. That’s where I successfully graduated from both elementary and high school. Motivated by my aspirations, I found myself in the neighboring country of Slovenia, immersing myself in the study of visual communications at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana.

My career path after graduation led me to become an assistant teacher, spending a decade honing students’ calligraphy skills, immersing them in the rich world of writing techniques and scripts of our Western culture, and guiding them through the intricate realm of type design. In addition to my various design projects, I created and developed high-quality professional fonts, launching them under my own brand, Type Fleet, a boutique type foundry specialized in type and visual identity design services.

Today, my journey led me to cultivate a remarkable approach to contemporary Catholic fine arts. This task is quite challenging; it requires a great deal of dedication and careful work. For much of this process, I rely on Affinity software, leveraging its robust design capabilities to seamlessly blend my calligraphic and typographic skills with the latest advancements in graphic design technology. I then refine it using state-of-the-art printing technology.
Inspiration often strikes during moments of deep contemplation and prayer. It’s in these reflective times that I allow creativity to flow naturally, often letting the artwork unfold organically as I engage with the graphics. Throughout my exploration of type design, I have honed a keen eye for precision, shape, and layering, which are crucial elements in achieving the desired aesthetic. Every detail is carefully crafted; there is no reliance on artificial intelligence in my work—every aspect is a product of my creativity and labor.
